Day 10 - Pilot's office, taxi and Thai food

Today I wanted to wake up at 8 AM, but I already woke up at 6 AM, because some seagulls were 'screaming'. They did not stop until 8 AM, so I could not get back to sleep, which was a shame. At 8:10, I went downstairs to get some breakfast. I chose some slices of bacon, some toast with margarine and some orange juice. Just as always, it was really nice.
At 8:50, the taxi driver picked me up and brought me to the Airport. Fraser, from the Obs(ervations) section told me that I could go to the pilot's office with Anne. The weather is horrible today, so a lot of flights were delayed. Anne actually had to fly 12 times today. Anne is still in training, so she must have a trainer sitting next to her. The plane would be too heavy if there were 6 passengers with Anne and the trainer. Therefore she could not fly. It was nice to spend the morning with Anne today, as I could also speak Dutch for quite a while.
At around 11:30, I had lunch. This time I did not buy anything in the café. I bought some lunch at the Lidl yesterday, so I brought that with me.
In the afternoon I went with John, one of the taxi drivers, to see what they exactly do. They obviously have to give people a lift from the Airport to the train station in Penzance and the other way around. Furthermore, they have to plan when they have to drive for the next day. Also they have to keep track of the amount of hours they drive without breaks, as that must not be too much. At 4 PM, John brought me back to the B&B.
When I arrived at the B&B, I just lay in bed for an hour, as I was feeling a bit ill and tired. At 18:40, Fran came to tell me that we were going to have dinner at a Thai restaurant today. They visit this restaurant quite often, as it is only a 5 minute walk and as they are friends.
I chose some coke as drink, some Khanom Pang Gai as a starter and some Pat Thai as the main course. The Khanom Pang Gai was a sort of chicken toast (chicken coated in dough and sesame seeds and then deep fried). The Pang Gai was a noodle dish, with pork, egg, vegetables, peanuts and some tamarind sauce. We had a very nice view, as we could see the sea through the window. I actually never had Thai food, but it was really really good. Thank you Fran and Stuart for the lovely dinner!
At 21:15, we were back at the B&B. I am currently writing this blog and after that I will take a shower and go to bed. Tomorrow I have to go to the Head Office in Penzance, which is on another location. I have to be there at 9 o'clock and I probably have to walk, so I can just wake up at the same time as the other days: 8 AM. See you soon!
